Following indigenous Quechua healers through the Sacred Valley and their centuries-old traditions of plant medicine.
This Luminatus Original documentary takes viewers deep into the Peruvian Andes, where Quechua communities have maintained healing traditions for thousands of years. Through intimate access arranged by our network of cultural partners, the film captures ceremonies, daily practices, and conversations with elders that are rarely seen by outsiders.
The documentary explores the relationship between traditional Quechua medicine and modern pharmacology, the spiritual cosmology that underlies Andean healing practices, and the challenges facing indigenous communities in preserving their traditions in a rapidly changing world.
True to the Luminatus commitment to cultural honor, this film was produced in close collaboration with the communities it depicts, and a portion of all subscription revenue generated by this content is directed back to the communities through our philanthropy partnerships.
